Private tour to Dubrovnik and Split in 2 days
Exclusive program for southern Dalmatia!
Why not take advantage of the opportunity to explore neighboring countries during your vacation in Montenegro? Especially Croatia, which is able to give a kaleidoscope of different impressions even in two days. Our two-day program is more like a full-fledged trip to southern Croatia. We will have time to see the main cities – Dubrovnik and Split, as well as drive along the beautiful coast of Dalmatia.
Chilipi (passing through)
Getting to know Croatia will start with the picturesque countryside along the Jadran road that connects Montenegro and Croatia. There are about 30 villages in the Konavle valley, where ancient customs and traditions are still revered, and the population on Sundays dresses in national costumes and arranges noisy fairs with fun dances.
After passing chilipi and other villages of the Konovale valley, we will stop in Cavtat to walk along the beautiful promenade and see the small Old town. The history of Cavtat dates back more than two millennia, and there are still many architectural and historical monuments of different periods, which will be interesting to look at.
Stop with panoramic views of Dubrovnik
After a cozy, quiet Cavtat, we will head towards Dubrovnik and make sure to make a stop when approaching it. The panorama of one of the most beautiful cities in the world is worth taking time for a photo session against its background!
Tour of the old city of Dubrovnik
In Dubrovnik itself, we will arrange a tour of the most popular attractions and walk around the Old city, which is included in the UNESCO world heritage list. You will see with your own eyes such famous objects as Stradun street, Loja square and Onofrio fountain, the Spanish steps and the Church of St. Ignatius, the Fortress of St. John, the Sponza Palace, the Princely Palace, the Cathedral of the ascension of the virgin Mary and much more.
Well, after such an excursion program-at least you will still have free time to additionally visit other interesting places in Dubrovnik. For example, walk around the powerful walls that surround the Old town, or visit the fortress Lovrijenac.
Lunch at the Tavern Arka restaurant
Now you should take a short break and go for lunch at the Croatian restaurant Tavern Arka Restaurant. In this colorful restaurant with stone arches and solid wooden furniture, you will enjoy a cozy atmosphere while tasting delicious Croatian dishes.
With renewed vigor, we will continue our exciting trip around Croatia, and the next point on our route is the Trsteno arboretum, which became famous all over the world after the series "Game of thrones". Lush greenery and colorful, fragrant flowers, shady alleys, fountains and an ancient aqueduct-at your request, we can make a stop and wander around the arboretum to enjoy this man-made beauty.
Ston – Mali Ston
Next, we head to the Croatian city of Ston, which at first glance may seem like an ordinary small village with a population of just over 2.5 thousand people. In fact, this city in its importance in former times was second only to Dubrovnik. Ston is now popular for its extensive salt mines, the longest fortress wall in Europe, and the surprisingly delicious oysters grown in the lagoon. Due to the moderate salinity of the water in the narrow sea Bay, the local oysters have the most delicate taste – you can see this for yourself if you want, when visiting The kapetanova kuća oyster farm.
After walking along Ston and Mali Ston, we will continue our journey in a westerly direction, passing the panoramic bridge over The bistrina Bay on the way.
Soon after crossing the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina, you will see the city of Neum. This is the only resort city in the country, located on the sea, with clean beaches and various water activities. But if now Neum is mainly based on tourism, then in former times (when beach recreation did not yet exist as a type) it was not of great value for a very long time and remained a small seaside settlement that passed from one power to another. Thanks to this repeated change of "owners", Neum has become a unique city where you can see simultaneously Croatian, Turkish and Serbian national features.
Rizman Winery (Rab)
Well, we go further along the Jadran way and return again to Croatia. Here, near the town of Click, right on the beach, there is a small, but quite popular rizman winery. Local wine is highly valued for its taste, so we recommend a short stop at the winery to taste its famous products and take a couple of bottles of selected wine as a gift to your loved ones.
Croatia's natural attractions are next! We will drive along one of the most beautiful Croatian rivers – the Neretva river, and soon we will see the Bachin lakes – turquoise pearls connected in a single necklace.
Road along the coast and dinner
Then the road will return to the coast again, giving you the opportunity to admire the view of the sparkling water surface and the picturesque tiled roofs of the cities that will come across along the way: Gradac, Drvenik, Tucepi, Makarska, Baska Voda, Brela, Shtanichi, omish.
For the night, we will settle in one of the hotels in Split.
The morning of the second day will start with a delicious Breakfast wherever you want: in the hotel, in the Villa or in the city cafe.
City tour of Split
Ahead of us is a busy day with a tour of the famous sights of Split, including the famous places where the shooting of the TV series "Game of thrones"took place. The program includes such objects as the Palace of Diocletian, the temple of Jupiter, and the Cathedral of St. Peter.Domnia, peristyle square, Golden gate, St. Martin's chapel, Silver gate, St. Dominic's Church.
In addition, we will admire the panorama of split from the bell tower of the Cathedral of St. Douai and walk along the Riva embankment and see the port.
Depending on your preferences, we can also visit the house-Museum of the famous sculptor Mestrovic Gallery, the eccentric froggykand Museum of frogs, the Museum of fine arts, the archaeological Museum and the Park on Marjan hill.
We will return to Montenegro via the main highway in the country. If desired, we can change the route and drive through Bosnia and Herzegovina, passing the cities of Mostar, Stolac and Trebinje.
